Ethical and Environmental Policies

At Don't Walk, Dance we are concerned about the environment as well as the lives of the people that produce our products.  We are a very small company and are working towards our goal of a fully accredited ethical supply chain.

  • Our range is produced in Bali in small factories that have no child labour, no forced labour and are not sweat shops.

  • We choose natural and organic fibres (eg bamboo and organic cotton) where possible and appropriate for the function and life of the design.

  • Our active wear is made from Italian Nylon Lycra which is made from recycled fishing nets recovered from the ocean.

  • Small production runs to reduce over supply and left over stock.

  • Quality fabrics and construction to ensure a long wearing life.

  • We wear our sample garments ourselves to test the designs to ensure comfort and therefore a long life.

  • No plastic packaging.

  • Encourage people to wash in short cold water cycles (or by hand even better) to reduce energy consumption and prolong life of garment and minimise microfibre output

  • Promote the use of specific laundry bags to capture microfibre created by washing recycled plastic nylon.

  • Garment recycling offer to all our customers. At the end of its life just send it back to us and we will recycle the materials to prevent landfill disposal. Contact us at holla@dontwalkdance.com.au for more details.
